Bennett Read 1000W DriBuddi Laundry Dryer stopped working

My husband purchased a Bennett Read 1000W DriBuddi Laundry Dryer in December 2019 on Takealot. We didn’t register for warranty online as he kept getting an error message. The unit stopped working last week on Friday 29 January 2021. It looks like the motor burnt as it is giving a smell of something that has been burnt. Since we live in sunny Johannesburg we rarely use the unit only when it rains do we use. (Less than 10 times in total)

I am really disappointed on the short lifespan of the product. As an avid Tevo fan who owns a Bennet Read iron and vacuum cleaner and someone who recommend the brand to friends I am sad I was let down when I didn’t expect.

And ooh the customer care lines goes unanswered. have tired both numbers for Johannesburg and the national number with no success. I have emailed repairs not sure if I will ever get a response.

I got a call from a lady called Janet on 3 February and she advised me to drop off the unit at Tevo at N1 Business park at my earliest convenience. She then promised to email me which i am still waiting for the email to date.

So I only got a chance to go there this morning , arrived at 8:40am. I could not get inside as the security guard said they are no accepting any repairs of instruments at the moment. i told him i have been asked by Janet to drop my unit by he didn't want to buy my story and he said the same person has asked him not to allow any repairs or services inside the gate. Now the landline numbers still goes unanswered. If you guys had told me not to come I wouldn't waste my time and fuel. I was late for work for nothing.

My advise to anyone reading this. If you dont want stress stay away from Bennet read products
