Tennant Group not to be Trusted
Good Day All
I would like to share my experience with this particular company.
I resigned back in November 2023 from my previous job , immediately got on the phone with Tennant explaining my circumstance , filled in all the necessary documents , according to me and my then Employer everything should have been dealt with ,
Apologies , Tennant Group is the Company who was / is entrusted to handle our Provident Fund.
I got a couple of calls from Tennant , staying that their waiting period on claims is 6 - 8 weeks , which i still consider as ridiculous , but anyway i went with the program , i was informed because i resigned my employer might still pay in a Sum into the Fund in December 2023 , hence the waiting period of 6 - 8 weeks , i thought at the time that sounds reasonable , although ive been with Elaxander Forbes in the past and they take about 2 -4 weeks from past experience.
But I understand not every Company ia the same ,
I was informed by Tennant back in November , early December 2023 , that my funds would be availible end of January 2024 , I accepted this fact grudgingly , end of January came and went , no calls , no mails , I decided to mail them and got a return call , I was then informed that because my previous Employer made a R50 deposit towards my benefit in December 2023 , now I have to wait till end of February 2024 , This is the same line I was given back in November / early December 2023 , mind you ,
Now I ask you , who waits a quarter of a year for a benefit which rightfully belongs to you , to be paid out,
I informed them via mail of my deep dissatisfaction of this whole affair , but was ignored. I also informed that I would be using this platform and any/all other Consumer Protection services at my disposal to voice my concern and warn people of their behaviour , but as with these kind of big Companies , I only got Silence.
I am deeply upset and warn potential employers and employees to reconsider any dealings with this Institution.
They are more concerned with their internal policy of 6-8 weeks , even after it has lapsed and fault was clearly on their side , they fall back on their 6-8 week policy , disregarding any arrangements you might have made with your Creditors based on what they have , Tennant have told you (via email) would be the time you would receive what's due to you.
