Delay in pension payout to member
I am very dissatisfied with the service I have received from Tennant regarding my pension fund transfer and partial cash withdrawal. All required documentation was submitted well before my resignation date of 30 April, yet the process has still not been completed. I have had to follow up repeatedly, only to receive ongoing delays and excuses. What is particularly concerning is that the delay seems to be because of errors on the forms (including the fund name and number). I identified and reported some of these issues, but no corrective action was taken. I have now been informed that the tax directive cannot be processed because of these same errors, which were entirely avoidable. This situation reflects poorly on Tennant’s level of service and accountability. I am still waiting for payment of funds that are rightfully mine. I have escalated the matter to senior management and will be lodging a formal complaint with the Pension Funds Adjudicator if this is not resolved urgently.

I'v had such a bad experience with Tennent Group. I resigned from my previous company in Feb this year. I had to send more than 1 email until I received a response from Chevon Bennet, and she advised that my pension fund was due to be paid by the end of April 2026. In the last week of April I then receive an sms stating that there are no SARS directives. We are now heading into the second week of May and still no communication or payout. This is very frustrating!
