TENEO EDUCATION NOT TAKING LEARNERS FUTURE INTO ACCOUNT

Today I am a disgruntled parent. My daughter is in Teneo since 2020 and initially we were happy with the online classes and systems.

She is in Gr 12 now - and suddenly all of sudden all their systems are changing. The assignments are very poorly planned and dates change on the fly. One day you log in and there is 1 Assignment with a due date 4 weeks from now, the next day when you log in there are 3 assignments with a due date in 2 days. In addition, they say that gr 10 and Gr 11 must be used as preparation for Gr 12 and then everything changes and the learners need to learn new formats and systems from start. End of Gr 11 she had 4 distinctions and she was positive - now she is demotivated and concerned about the final exam. In meetings with the IEB FET Operational Head all the concerns are brushed off as better - how can a school be allowed to make changes in Gr 12 and just not listen to learners and parents - it is the future of all the learners at stake here.
