Our Teneo Story

We initially enrolled our son, Kayden, at Teneo because we had no other option at the time. I was offered a new job in the city, and we had to move on short notice. Unfortunately, we missed the registration cut-off for nearby schools and didn’t qualify for the relocation placement programme since we weren’t moving from another province.

Teneo was the quickest and simplest solution, and we were so relieved at how easy it was to get started during a very stressful time.

Our son had previously been diagnosed with ADHD, and in a traditional classroom setting, he struggled to stay focused. Large classes made it difficult for teachers to give him the attention he needed, and he was also often targeted by bullying. With his ADHD, he doesn’t cope well with children in his personal space, and it was becoming a challenging environment for him.

Since joining Teneo, the change has been incredible. While online classes can still be large, they’re far more controlled, and he’s thriving without the constant noise and distractions. The ability to rewatch lessons, catch up when he’s been ill, and learn at his own pace has helped him regain confidence in his learning.

He has also had the unique opportunity to meet classmates from all over the world, providing him with wonderful exposure to different cultures and perspectives, something we never expected but deeply appreciate.

Our mornings are calmer, our days are happier, and most importantly, he’s thriving both emotionally and academically. What started as a temporary solution has turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve ever made for our child.
