Account department doesn't exist

I registered my daughter and used my bank info to pay for the application online. And in the application process they ask you if you prefer paying the entire lumpsum or pay monthly. Now because I have a bursary scheme I am part of, I chose lumpsum. My application was processed and approved within a week. In the approval email they mentioned that the payment will come out of the card I used to pay for the application. Now I didn't authorize this, I wouldn't because I had no intention of paying the amount from my own bank account. And behold the money was indeed deducted from my account. This means I was at a negative of tens of thousands of Rands. No explanation, no invoice, nothing at all that gives me any chance to dispute this. Since then I have been requesting a statement of account or invoice or any sort of acknowledgement of the payment at all. I have logged numerous tickets on their system. All their numbers have been disconnected and so there is absolutely no way of calling them. I am at my wits ends and my credit score has been affected as I was not able to do anything for a long time due to a negative balance in my account. My bond was never paid, other personal loans were missed. Even today 2 months later there is still no resolution to my problem and no one cares.

Hello Mbalenhle

We expanded the payment options for tuition fees to include debit/credit cards and secure EFT via Paygate. We acknowledge there have been some teething problems in the implementation of the new payment systems and the technical issues experienced resulted in support queries. Those technical issues were quickly identified and fixed and we have been focused on resolving all support queries. We are pleased to confirm that the system upgrade is complete so customers will not experience these issues again. The significant upgrade to Teneo's core enrolment systems at the end 2022, which was necessitated by the launch of our expanded academic offerings for 2023, resulted in Teneo straddling two multiple systems simultaneously, with new tuition fees pricing and payment options. This challenging transition was complex and impacted account reconciliation causing some delays in query resolution and refunds processing while we migrated accounting systems. The accounts team is focused on resolving all refund requests as quickly as possible.

Sincerely
Teneo Management
