Rude receptionist

I called 10 minutes ago and wanted to speak to the lady that was my team leader for a referance I forgot her name and her number is no longer on my phone the receptionist I spoke to was so rude she had no patience and sounded very irritated when I asked to be transfered thru to HR she said I should email and slammed the phone down in my ear is this the standered now? It's very disappointing what the reason for her being employed there if she is unhelpful and she didn't even know I was an old agent she just thought I was an annoying customer wow this is honestly unacceptable
