The hba card finally works.
The hba card finally works. But you guys never told me I had to first update its firmware. Thanks Kobus again for the help in setting it up. I cannow connect the tape library.

I have copied some general service steps and instructions on how to do it here..(too late I guess now that you say that its sorted)... hope this will help in future if you encounter another situation..

- Power down the server using appropriate shut-down procedure, and open the server.
- Install the PCI Fibre Channel HBAs into the server.
- HBA NVRAM default settings may need to be adjusted, depending on the specific solution.
- Verify that the HBA is at the current firmware level and update (flash) as required.
- Attach HBA cable(s) to the appropriate PowerVault storage device(s).
- Power up and boot to the network operating system.
- Load the PCI FC HBA driver.
- Verify communication between the HBA and the PowerVault storage system.
- Repeat installation for each affected server.
- If required, install and run the Qlogic Device Configuration Application, which is needed in the event of a Storage Processor failure.
- Restore covers or access panels to servers.
