Unpaid claims

I insured my phone with techsured, they promised me immediate cover.3 months down the line my phone gets ****** and t I submitted all documents requested on time.They advised me that they have a backlog of repairs and claims with thier service providers and that they may be a delay with my claim. No by delay does this mean that I have to wait 6 months to a year if my claim is ever gonna be entertained. No one has called me or anything ,I received that response by email automation response .
