When new is NOT new!
I purchased what I believed to be a brand-new iPhone XS from Tech Exchange in January this year, only to discover it was not what I expected. Ten months after the purchase, I accidentally dropped the phone, resulting in a cracked screen. Seeking a display replacement, I visited the iStore for a quote. To my dismay, the iStore informed me that my iPhone XS was actually a remanufactured device, and therefore, they couldn't provide the repair service.
I reached out to Tech Exchange to express my concerns about this misrepresentation. I was directed to their terms and conditions on their website, which stated, "New imported iPhones which are older discontinued models are refurbished to New and function and look brand new..." While it appeared that Tech Exchange had provided a disclaimer, I was frustrated by the lack of transparency in the initial sale.
A gentleman named Richard at Tech Exchange initially expressed willingness to assist me, contingent upon my submission of a report from the iStore and the invoice from the repair provider. However, it has been some time, and I have yet to receive any further communication from Richard or Tech Exchange regarding the matter.
This experience has left me disappointed and frustrated with Tech Exchange's lack of transparency in selling remanufactured devices as new. As a customer, I expected honesty and clarity in my purchase, which unfortunately was not delivered. I hope Tech Exchange takes steps to rectify this situation and improve its customer service in the future.
