Disappointing Dissatisfaction
If I thought is was frustrating receiving a notice that I owe SARS, it was nothing compared to my experience that I have had with TaxTim. I am really not one to complain about service, but this needs to be said! I joined TaxTim after a friend said how effective they were. Someone was assigned to my case and I gave permission on TaxTim and on followed everything they wanted me to do in giving permission on the SARS website as well. I was not able to get any information or get in contact with TaxTim regarding this matter. I even went onto Twitter and only got a response the same as on the TaxTim app that they are only online and could not get in touch with me by phone and they could not even send me an email from the so-called assigned person. I had 40 days to oppose the auto assessment. I accepted the my matter was in good hands, but still tried to get in touch with TaxTim. The only thing that happened was, I had to do everything that I would usually do on SARS website and submitted it via TaxTim platform. This morning I got the notification on TaxTim that SARS provided feedback that my auto assessment remains in place, due to the fact that 40 days have passed, although the so-called assigned person was appointed during the 40 day period. Very disappointed in the poor service from TaxTim.

24 Oct 2022, 18:29Now TaxTim wants to have my review removed due to my review allegedly not being factually correct. Here are some more facts: I reached out on 2 August, asking them to call me. The reply was that they are strictly on-line and asked for information that they already had.
They are now relying on this to have my review removed. On 4 August 2022 I received a request to allow the so-called assigned person handle my matter with SARS.
I will not name the person assigned, as I do not blame the person, but TaxTim for not having control measures in place. I have done everything regarding giving them permission on SARS' platform as well.
40 days have expired for my dispute to have the auto-assessment reviewed. I acknowledge that it would be a tall order to dispute the auto-assessment, but the fact that I have been given the impression on 4 August 2022 that TaxTim is attending to the matter and nothing had been done on my behalf is unacceptable.
It is also disgusting that they are now trying to blame me for their lack of professional behaviour.
They were looking for a loophole and are now focusing on a question posed to me on 2 August, but that they requested my permission on 4 August, they are conveniently ignored.
Let's wait and see what their next excuse is for having my review removed.

I will not waste my time any further on this matter as it is clear that TaxTim has no leg to stand on, but to refer to an irrelevant request on 2 August, as they have requested me on 4 August to provide their allocated person permission, to which I responded as directed. When logging in on SARS website, the person was even indicated as working on my behalf, but nothing was done by the person in question until 17 October 2022 after I completed everything on the TaxTim website just like I would usually so on the SARS website. I have added the membership fees of TAXTIM to my outstanding amount. It was therefore a fruitless exercise.
