Talksure Sa / Elixi Health / Think twice..

My dad recently passed away. Now that I want to request for his Accident Death Benefit, Elixi health just throw their hands in the air, and refuses to pay out his Death Benefit. According to them he died because of natural causes (Well that's what the doctor says). I understand that their descriptions indicates that this benefit is payable for accidental deaths, but what death isn't accidental, shouldn't your policy cover any related deaths?? He was required to be admitted to hospital because he was bit by an insect of some sort, and that's why he was required to be admitted to hospital in the first place. In the first instance I called ER24, as per the procedure they require, they didn't have an ambulance available, ER24 called 1Life to assist with an ambulance. During my approximate 1hr wait, my dad passed away. All this contributed to his passing. The markings on his body caused by this injury clearly indicates he didn't die because of natural causes. All I want to say is, think twice before you consider this medical insurance option, they have no regard to the families and the policy they clearly try to make you pay for, when you consider the money they get paid from people paying monthly installments, and their refusal to pay you out when you need it most.
