**********

We have been paying Talksure/Elixi health insurance since the 27th of October 2020, part of this policy was that me & my fiancé would be covered under the black plan offered by Elixi health insurance, thus stated on said policy. I've been in excruciating pain since January 2nd with multiple ulcers in my mouth & needed to see the GP urgently. According to Elixi I am not on their system loaded as a beneficiary, contradictory to what our contract states, then I was told that they would sort this out immediately & I would be able to see the GP by the end of the day (this on the 4th of January because they are not open on weekends or holidays, regardless of an emergency). This was not sorted and once again I had to call them to find out how far this process is, once again I am told that by Wednesday the 6th of January I would be able to see the GP 1st thing in the morning, it is currently 16:43pm & I am still unable to see the GP as I am still NOT LISTED UNDER THE POLICY. Just to be clear, we've been paying R1248.00 per month since the 27th of October 2020 (this cover should have been to December 31st 2020 without increase) on the 24th of December they took R1319.00, according to contract this should in theory only have been the increase as of January 1st. My cover is an additional R549.00 per month, since I have not been covered according to them and still am not covered this money has been ****** & they refuse to refund this in accordance. If I am not covered why am I paying R549 over and above the main policy holders fee of R699??

If I cancel this policy it means that they would have walked away with over R4000 worth of my hard earned money!

What if I was in an accident & had to be transferred to hospital? This would have resulted in a court case, which at the moment it seems I will have to go to small claims court with this in order to salvage some sort of money from them. Any advice on what to do? In the mean time I STILL HAVE NOT SEEN THE GP!!!!!
