I purchased a Speck pool pump from Takealot on 30 December. The unit was professionally installed by a qualified technician and has now failed within the 6-month CPA warranty period.

Despite this, Takealot is refusing to cover the removal and reinstallation costs, which are necessary to give effect to the warranty remedy. They are also attempting to direct me toward replacing a capacitor at my own expense instead of honoring my right to a replacement or refund under the Consumer Protection Act.

Due to the pump being non-functional and delays in resolving the matter, my pool has developed significant algae, resulting in additional maintenance and chemical costs.

I am simply requesting that Takealot comply with the CPA and resolve this matter fairly and in full.
