Wrong product Delivery and shocking Service

My Boyfriend bought me a gift from Takealot.com which they told him would take 10days to 3 weeks for delivery. Yesterday I got an sms early in the morning to say it will be delivered sometime before 5pm. Half an hour later the doorbell rang. Here's the issue: 1: No respect for time - who, in today's day and age, can sit around waiting for 10 days to 3 weeks for when TakeALot decides to deliver? 2: The item delivered, was not the item ordered. 3: Because it was not the item ordered, I didn't sign for it and sent it back. 4: We receive communication to say that the recipient refused to accept the parcel (without the fact that the reason for this was that it was NOT WHAT WE ORDERED!!!). 5: Now TakeAlot is making it an issue and making us, the customer do the work.

Here's the facts: We purchased an item based on a photo on TakeAlot's website, they delivered something else (not what we ordered), so it's up to TakeAlot to sort this out and not the paying customer.

Needless to say, there's no telephone number to be found online and it takes 24 hours to get an email response that is expecting the customer do to the work.

TakeAlot. Sort your nonsense out. Sort out order out. Send us what we ordered. And please, just please, have some respect for our time!

Horribly disappointed!!!

Reviewer Update
So they tried to call once at almost 8pm on Friday night and then sent and emails that the ticket is closed - cause we didn’t immediately pick up the phone on a Friday night. Then we get correspondence to say that they will pick up the refund tomorrow? Are they retarded? We never accepted it and sent it straight back cause it was WRONG! And then today my boyfriend tries to call them and all he gets told is, “we will escalate it”... and that’s it?!!!! Seriously TakeALot!!! Your service and customer relationship management is SHOCKING!!!! Really!!! Appalling! We need an answer and a solution today please? There’s such a thing as a customer protection act...
