Wow Takealot Wow, bad service.

I have never received such ridiculous service over the past year from Takealot. I have threatened to do this the last three time but this time I have had enough. They take advantage of their Monopoly in the delivery service and treat their customers like they don’t matter.

I have experienced a situation where the incorrect product was delivered, was told to log a return myself, even though I didn’t know how to return the wrong product. I requested to save time, to bring the correct item and then take the wrong item they sent me. Instead they wanted to collect the item, saying they will send the correct replacement item after inspection. After me following up, without informing me, they just credited my account and didn’t bother sending me what I ordered. I had to reorder it again and luckily had other items to order to not pay delivery fee.

I had the same situation when ordering KWV 5 year brandy, they sent me some Vodka flavoured liquor, same situation, didn’t want to replace the item, they just credited my account and told me to reorder but it was now at a higher price. Had to fight and fight but in the end they decided to send me what I ordered at the price I paid after being threatened to go to the media.

My recent purchase received today, ordered a Gel gun for my daughters bday and they didn’t send the “EXTRA” bullets that come separately. Now they want me to log a return for the gel gun to then resend it to me with the extra bullets promised. They want me to say to my daughter on her birthday, sorry your Grans gift isn’t here yet as I needed to return it due to Takealot’s warehouse incompetence and they couldn’t just send the extra bullets that has nothing to do with the gel guns original packaging.

Typing this so I can copy this to all social platforms if nothing is done about these situations and will be keeping record. I know we are all human but service is the main concern and convenience for customers.
