Wish I could give them less than 1 star. 0/10

So takealot has been going down the drain,

https://hellopeter.com/take2takealot/reviews/is-this-my-only-hope- ********** came and it went again with 0 to little help.

Is Takealot the type of brand that sells inferior quality products to their customers than making them pay for it? I feel so.

I've been through 2 of the same type of phone where the first one had internal problems and the second one's screen just started cracking in my hand. Did I receive decent help on the first one? Yes. The second one? They don't want anything to do with it.

This is how Takealot seems to work nowadays, sell cheap manufactured goods and pray that it works for the customer. This time it didnt.

They sold me a phone where the screen cracks all over within 4 months with the rest of the phone still in good shape (I take care of my stuff) and with this phone being my only one I have to rush to get it sorted - Guess what, no one can fix this screen for me.

How can they sell items which is this bad, and then stand behind their own word that this is the customer's fault. I've had touch screens for years and this one is the first one I was too afraid to put back in my pocket. This phone didn't only crack its screen but it looked like the screen itself wanted to come off on its own, this is how you get cut.

Now to forget about shoddy equipment it's the customer service you get that slowly but surely builds my blood pressure up. First person I spoke with copy pasted his whole mail to me and even made a spelling mistake the one place he put his own words in. He just kept copying the same thing thing but in different wording to me, not even bothering to respond to any questions asked. The second one (had to get another person through my first hellopeter report) looked good at first glance but also started copy pasting mails.

I tried negotiating with them to even reducing my refund and just to keep the piece of garbage I do not want in my life. But thanks to their own "certified technician" who uses my refund request as a fault description but then only putting "LCD Broken" on his report card and calling it User Damage.

I am going to start spreading the word of how big takealot has gotten and how they prey on individuals who have been loyal customers since take2.co.za days - I guess spending a car's amount of money on this type of business is still small enough for them to lose you.

So here's the points.

1 - Bad manufactored Item

2 - Worse communication - feels like I'm speaking to primary school students.

3 - Worst excuse to to deny refunds I've ever heard of.
