Why takealot delivery personnel do not call recipients?

It's crazy that takealot.com delivery staff don't call the package receiver at their address. I was surprised to discover that the shipment had not been delivered and had been rescheduled for another day, despite the fact that I had been at my address all day with my phone open. You cannot expect me to wait outside for my purchase when you have not scheduled a specific time or phone call.
