WHY send a text of the EXACT date of delivery and then NOT DELIVER??

I placed an order on 6 February 2018.

Eventually I received an sms stating that the parcel will be delivered on Friday 16 February before 17:00.

Needless to say, I ensured that I was available for the delivery the whole day. It was an inconvenience, but I planned accordingly. (I am a farmer and have to PLAN to be able to accept a delivery)

NO DELIVERY!!

Not only no delivery, not even the common decency of a courtesy call to let me know that they will NOT honour THEIR commitment.

This is NOT the first time.

Can someone from takealot please follow up and give me an EXACT date and time as I CANNOT put aside another WHOLE day just waiting for them to MAYBE pitch up.

This is ridiculous!
