What's the point of Online Shopping if you don't deliver?

I ordered a few things last week Friday, got the notification that my goods will be delivered on the 3rd of June. On the morning of Tuesday 2 June I saw that the goods are with the courier and have left for delivery - I was stoked. Later the day I received an SMS reading that the goods will be delivered on Wednesday 3 June, This never happened. This morning I received a message saying there is a delay and the order will be rescheduled. The delivery system is so unpredictable, no one contacts you to inform you they can't deliver on the day. What is not realized from takealot.com side is that we make plans to stay at the address for the day to receive our goods, instead of going out to get groceries etc. I guess we should just revert to support local shops My order number is ***6
