What is the point of preordering??

I am extremely disappointed in the service received from Takealot.

I preordered the PS5 30th anniversary edition on 08/11/2024, my expected collection date is 29th of November which was fair incase there were delays from Sony.

The console released on the 21st and when checking I can see they have stock in JHB. On the 22nd I had a look and if I ordered it on 22nd the expected delivery date would be 23rd.

My console has not left for shipping yet and my expected collection date is still the 29th. No idea why I should preorder if it benefits me to rather buy on release date.
