waterproof sports watch drowns

My Wife bought me a watch for Christmas through Takealot. "Naviforce men's black leather sport watch".

Firstly, the leather strap broke after a month. The leather strap was glued together where the strap split open. No warranty is given on the strap so was forced to buy a new, more hardy strap. Even bought it off Takealot.

Next, the watch starts fogging up. This is a sports watch as previously mentioned and does say in the description that it is waterproof. It even states waterproof on the box.

We issued a return to takealot only to be emailed that I had obviously neglected the watch, user abused or incorrect usage of said watch. Damage was therefore caused by "not adequately caring for the product". What absolute ****! I'm 45 and know how to look after my things and care for a watch of all things!

I have emailed Takealot twice now...awaiting a proper response as they have the watch with original box at their headquarters.

So now I sit without a watch and a very sour taste in my mouth. Takealot, you should be ashamed of yourselves!
