Wasted my time on processing what turned out to be an ineligible return

Product (whiteboard) arrived while I was away. On unwrapping, noticed it was cracked. Logged a return 8 days after it arrived. Return was accepted and they picked up the (cracked) whiteboard, only for them to refuse an exchange because the returns policy only allows 7 days for returns of damaged products. Good to know that a 30-day policy does not apply to damaged products because it makes their premise virtually useless.
