Warranty return gone south

I purchased a line trimmer through TakeALot with a 24 month warranty. The line trimmer's motor gearbox strip within 15 months of use of which it wasn't 4 months even in use. I use it once a week for a maximum of 2 hours. Upon returning it to Takealot, they sent it to the supplier and I received a quotation for repairs. It is now been a month that I am struggling to get an answer as to why I must pay for the repairs, in the meantime I was forced to buy another line trimmer. MRRN-85O8G-V49J
