Warranty Period Expired due to Lockdown

Good Morning

I find Takealot a quick and efficient way of shopping however my warranty of a product I purchased expired in lockdown and was restricted from logging my return in lockdown. Now that lockdown is over and I was allowed to log a return my request was automatically rejected by Takealot as I was out the warranty period but due to lockdown.

Please assist.
