Waiting for an order for a month.
I ordered a book on 20 Apr for delivery on 06 May. On the 6th there was no delivery and I called to be told that the supplier was out of stock and the buyer had to order more. On the same day I got an email from Marietjie van Eyssen advising that the book would arrive from the supplier in 5 working days (13 May) and would be delivered to me thereafter, which did not happen.

I called again twice this week to be told that the books have not been ordered from the supplier. Why do I have to call first before you can advise me of the delay? When ordering via Kalahari I would receive email notifications if the order was delayed, not call and follow up when there is no delivery.

This is highly disappointing - considering that I have been encouraging the students in my class to order all their books via Takealot - and those who have ordered the same book from you have received it. How is that possible if they ordered after, I did yet I am being told that the stock ran out. I know you have the books because my friend received hers today and she works next door to my offices.

I am disappointed and have no reason to order from you anymore. I will get my textbooks elsewhere.
We understand your disappointment by this unexpected delay & apologise for letting you down like this. Some delays are unfortunately not within our control, but we agree that the least we could do is inform you about it the minute we become aware of it.
We've instructed our complaints team to look into the lack of communication with the buyer involved & to contact you with an update on the whereabouts of the stock.
Sincerely,
