Very unprofessional & unacceptable service for items paid for but now out of stock

Major disappointed in recent service. 2Aug21 ordered a Stick Blender that was in stock & to get the free delivey took 2 DVD's. I accepted that the 1 DVD was not in stock & there would be a delay in delivery. Last week checked to see if they had received & then saw that the Stick Blender was out of stock. Last Friday logged a query & the response was there was definitely stock & they were still waiting for the 1 DVD. Over the weekend received sms that delivery would be today, 30Aug21. Then got mail that Stick Blender was out of stock & only DVD's would be delivered. Queried again & by the response they just don't care. They didn't have a problem taking my money. One would think that because the items have been paid for the items would be reserved on their stock system. Earlier today received another sms with a later date for delivery. Then receive a mail to rate their service - really.

Believe it or not, after their communications and Delivery Date changes, I have now received a mail to inform me that the supplier is Out of Stock & the order has been cancelled & if I have paid my account will be credited and I can also ask for a refund. There is obviously something drastically wrong at TakeALot, because since the start of Covid-19 lockdown the "Cash on Delivery" which I preferred is no longer an option, so there is no choice but to pay up front when processing the order. They really should do something about their Controls & Systems, especially the stock system & also not take the customers money when they clearly have no systems in place to guarantee delivery & then to deliberately deceive the customer when there is a query is unacceptable.
