Very disappointing experience with Takealot – no urgency

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience with Takealot. My order was initially marked as undeliverable due to an “insufficient address”. This made no sense because I have never changed my delivery address, and I regularly receive my Takealot orders at the exact same address without any issues.

I contacted Takealot and provided proof of the delivery address from my order history. I also asked whether anyone had attempted to contact me or check my previous orders but there was no attempt to resolve the issue with me.

What makes this even more frustrating is that Takealot later admitted that the actual problem was on their side. I was informed that my order had been sent to the incorrect courier facility and that delivery would be delayed by another 2–3 working days.

I specifically explained that the order contained essential items that I needed urgently, and that I pay for Takealot’s subscription service for the convenience of receiving my orders on time. Despite this, I was simply told to wait.

I responded yesterday at around 14:00 asking Takealot to please resolve the matter because I needed the order urgently. I have still received no further assistance or meaningful update. This experience has been incredibly disappointing.
