Very disappointing customer communication

I am so disappointed by the service from Takealot recently. I have used the company for years but this is the worst service I have experienced from them. I had no communication from them as to why my delivery was late, despite repeated queries from me. They only contacted me a week later to tell me my product was no longer available and my order had been cancelled. This was my son's birthday present and I am now unlikely to be able to order a replacement online in time for his birthday. On top of this they make it incredibly difficult to contact the company and get any sort of response or feedback. They need to drastically review their customer communication channels.
