UTTERLY DISGUSTED AND DISAPPOINTED

So, during Black Friday our family decided to purchase a Dyson Vacuum Cleaner from Takealot. We were thrilled to find the Dyson V11 Motorhead Cordless Vacuum, normally listed at R14,999 for just R9,999.

I even did a digital PDF Print of the page where the item was advertised, just to make sure that they are not able to come back to me and say but the item was never listed like that.

However, since the product has been delivered, it has been an absolute horror show.

Firstly, the product is listed with the regular "What's in the box" section, which indicates exactly what's inside. In this case, here's the list: What's in the box 1 x V11 Vacuum 2 x motorised cleaner heads: 1 x Combination tool 1 x Crevice tool 1 x Mini motorised tool 1 x Reach under tool

When we received the item, there was the following inside the box: What's in the box 1 x V11 Vacuum 1 x motorised cleaner heads: 1 x Combination tool 1 x Crevice tool

Which means we were missing the following items: What's in the box 1 x motorised cleaner heads: 1 x Mini motorised tool 1 x Reach under tool

I reached out to Takealot, and was informed that since the parts were missing, I need to log a ticket and that the item will be replaced. I even told the person who phoned me, that we didn't want to return the item, all we want is the missing accessories and that the item has already been used. But no, we need to return it and a swap will be made.

Fine, so I send back the Dyson, which we didn't want to return. Just to get a return rejected, because the machine has some dust in it. So, it gets returned to us again. I clean it so thoroughly, that you will be able to eat out of it and return it again, with the request for it to be swapped for the item which I purchased, including all accessories.

However, please take note that the following is indeed true about this product: - It is currently IN STOCK in both JHB and DBN - The price has increased by R1,000 - Item not in stock in CPT (then get it from your other warehouses)

Absolutely horrible experience. Disgusting customer service. I am not at all pleased with them. I would think that when you purchase an item of this value, that they would at least do the effort to send you the correct item.

There's one person who wrote a positive review about the item, I guess they received their item, including all their accessories.
