Using "Third-party seller" policies as excuse to not replace poor quality products

Bought a GPS watch on Takealot and the first one barely lasted a month, but they credited me when I returned it, the second one was also damaged after only two months and when I returned it I was informed that the charger melted due to a power surge and they are unable to assist me as the seller was a "third-party". Apparently that means Takealot is unwilling to even try and assist me in finding a replacement part, and I have no means of contacting the "third-party seller", so I paid for an expensive watch that is worthless after two months and Takealot is conveniently hiding behind their :third-party". Be VERY aware that this company is not interested in protecting their customers.
