Useless delivery times and nothing is as promised/indicated

Ordered a monitor on Monday which showed in stock in CTN/JHB. I live in Port Elizabeth. This was supposed to be shipped on Monday, for delivery today (7 October) all of 720km away. I managed to follow up on why it didn't show as being shipped on Monday as they indicated on their site, only to find out that there was a delay, and it will only arrive Monday 12 October. This is completely unacceptable, and you can't even blame lockdown for this as it's an ongoing issue with useless delivery times. Why show a delivery date if you can't keep to those times? If I order from Amazon it takes 5 days to land in RSA from America, and you guys are taking 5 days to deliver (LATE!) a monitor less than 1/10 of the distance??? This is precisely the reason I buy so much from Amazon.com. Pretty poor service. Improve...it's not that difficult! If a small company in JHB selling LEGO can get a parcel to my door 3 days after ordering, surely the so-called best online retailer can at least do the same!
