[URL Removed] misleading their customers

I ordered a book through [URL Removed] on 18 June 2015. Upon invoicing I was told the book will arrive on 20 July 2015. I thought it was long but I was willing to wait 4 weeks instead of finding it myself in a shop. The book didn't arrive on 20 July and I phoned to hear when the ETA is. I was told the ETA now moved to 10 September 2015. Had I known on day of purchase I was going to wait 3 months or perhaps even longer for this book I would have not purchased it via them. I would have used another online supplier or looked in the shops myself. I find the way [URL Removed] operates very ********* and highly *********. Any reasonable person would expect a due date to maybe move on by a week or 2 but really from 20 July to 10 September after already waiting 1 month for the item?? And by 10 September nothing stops them from moving the ETA again. Sad thing is by the time the book arrives, I won't be able to use it anymore. [URL Removed] should NOT give false ETA dates to their clients in order to get the sale. And potential clients should be made aware that [URL Removed] is not honest about the ETA times they provide upon purchase. Please be warned!!

Hello sntm,

We're sorry for the frustration caused by the unexpected change in your delivery date and understand your anger as we'd not be happy either had we been in your shoes. By the look of things there is a hold up with our international supplier on one of the items and this most likely caused the date to be pushed out till September. This is not the kind of experience we wish to give any of our customers and we apologise if you've not received any communication on the matter till now.

We've instructed our complaints team to look into this ASAP and they'll be in touch with an update on the status of the stock as soon as they've taken this up with the product buyer. Please keep an eye out for their call.

Kind Regards,
