Unsatisfied and very disappointing.

I have ordered a bluetooth speaker from Takealot which was damaged (Outer casing damaged) Due to this being a birthday gift, the unit was not opened for a week and a half after I have received it. For this reason they want to penalize me. First they accused me of damaging the property myself and also that there are accessories missing- then after making an exception from customer care, the warehouse again declined my return- this time because there is no evidence to pin point the damage to the couriers or drivers and because technically I am late with the return- this needs to happen within 7 days of delivery. I am constantly following up as there is no proper feedback or communication from Takealot. I really thought that Takealot can be trusted- clearly I have mistaken. Please take note that even if you buy a present for anyone from them- open it up so it can look like it has been used before you give it to them! Otherwise you will end up like me- out of 3800 rands. There are not even any responsibility that they carry, and very easy from their side- who will take them to court for every day items with not allot of value.
