Unsafe delivery experience resulted in loss of order and extra costs I am extremely disappointed with Takealot’s delivery service regarding my order #*** (two packs of diapers). I specifically ordered online to avoid travelling, as I have a baby and rely on home delivery for safety and convenience. However, the delivery drivers contacted me and instructed me to meet them at Police Station 1, far from my home. This completely defeated the purpose of paying for home delivery. Feeling pressured, I comp**** and had to take a taxi to the police station and another taxi back home, costing me R40. To make matters worse, after being dropped off near my residence, the package was snatched from me. The items were not packed in a box or discreet packaging, making the contents obvious and putting me at risk. As a result, I have: Lost the entire order Incurred additional transport costs Been exposed to an unsafe situation This situation was caused by failure to deliver to my home address, being instructed to meet at an unsafe location, and inadequate packaging. I am requesting that Takealot investigate this matter and provide a replacement or refund, and review its delivery procedures to prevent other customers—especially parents—from experiencing the same ordeal.
