Unsafe Children toy

This toy was bought by my daughter, but the incident happened on my watch and I was blamed for not watching my grandson. But, No amount of watching was going to prevent him from harm, because the toy that he was playing with was unsafe.

My grandchild of two and a half years old was in pain last night when his fingers got stuck between the handle and the wagon. He’s been playing with it for a number of weeks with no incident until last night (25.01.23) when he picked the wagon up to carry it up the steps. He loves the toy and we thought that it’s a great toy until last night. I still think that it’s a great toy, but the design of the handle needs to be changed ASAP before many more kids are getting hurt.

The Gap between the Wagon and the handle has an opening wide enough for the child's hand to fit through when the handle is in the rest position. When the handle flips over to the pulling position while the child's hand is through the opening the hand will be trapped and it will inflict excruciating pain until the handle is lifted to release the child's hand.

Two stars from me because safety for a vulnerable child is paramount.
