Unreliable and Do Not Care

TAKEALOT.COM does not care once goods are paid for.

I ordered and immediately paid for goods on this website and was given a delivery date of 30 Nov 2017, for which I provided work address cause I knew I would be at work on that day. Without arranging with me, I got a text message on the supposed date of delivery that they'd only deliver the next day, i.e., 01 Dec. Challenge is i was not going to be in the office on that day, but some 5 kilometers away at a meeting. When the deliver person called, I asked them to come to where I was, but they told me they were not gonna, I should rather cancel the order if I am not gonna come to the office to receive the order. I was shocked and decided to do nothing about it. Today (05 Dec), some 5 days later than the initial agreed upon delivery date, I received a text at about 9:30am that they'd deliver at my office by 5pm. I waited for that... Guess what...? At 15:38, another text came to say "delivery delayed and will be made on 06 Dec before 4pm. Challenge is I am not in the office on 06 Dec and I have no telephone number to call them on... MORAL OF THE STORY: DON'T EVER PAY UPFRONT FOR GOODS IN ADVANCE ON TAKEALOT.COM, OR JUST STOP ORDERING FROM THEM. I HAVE TAKEN THE LATTER OPTION... NO MORE
