Unprofessional, poor quality Takealot

Bought 2 teasets and other items from them on 22 Jul 24 as birthday gifts. One of the teasets was nicely wrapped inside a box with the other items. One of the teasets come on it's own with the box covered by cellotape. I didnt want to open it as it would tear the entire box apart and then I will not be able to give it as a gift. On 10 Aug 24 when the teaset was opened, 2 of the saucers were broken! I was so dissapointed an embaressed. I logged return on Takelot, which they accepted. When they received it back the return was declined, as they told me it had to be returned within 7 days, even thought I explained why I did not open the box.Why did they accept the return in first place if they had a 7 days policy. Upon receipt of the teaset back from Takelot it was broken into a thousand pieces!!! Intentionally?? Caryn - Takelot send me a mail and said item will be picked up from me and returned to them Received another mail to say I must take it to pick up point. Was confused but took item to pick up point again. Item re-evaluted and declined AGAIN, it was return to me. This business has no pride in themselves and no respect for their clients!! No wonder Temu and Shein is such a big threat to them.
