Unisa books : late delivery
I'm not happy with the delivery service of takealot at all. I've placed one order on the 27th of July order no : *** (which was 3 Unisa books) the very next day the parcel was delivered however only 2 of my books was part of the parcel and not 3. On the 29th of July I placed another order for 2 books orderno :***. By the 3rd of August I haven't heard anything regarding my orders. I decided to call takealot and requested to talk to a manager to get some clarity of the issue. I spoke to a manager called Roxanne and she told me that they've decided to ship my one book separate from that first order (which I still don't understand the logic of) and she told me that both of my orders are with fedex and would be delivered on the 10th of August. I explained to her that it's not acceptable since I've got assignments that's due on the 20th and she said she would escalate it. I want to thank Roxanne very much I've received both my orders yesterday after she escalated the situation. However situations like these shouldn't even reach you're managers Unisa students are under a lot of pressure since we study part time and have to work according to time lines and it's just not acceptable
We understand the pressures you're under as a student and the last thing we'd want to do is add to that. We've looked into both these orders and noted that we are still within our promised delivery time frames for both. The promised delivery date for order *** was the 10th of August and the 5th of August for order ***. One of the books in order *** has a 5 - 7 day lead time. We therefore split the order and released the two available items to you immediately, and shipped the lead time item when it arrived.
We apologise for the concern caused by not informing you of the reason behind the split delivery. We'll feed this back to the relevant departments to make sure we communicate this better in future.
Sincerely,
