Unidentified with delay and non disclosure before payment

Made an order for a few items with an expectation of revcieving them at least within 7days as written. After paying, I received notification that my order will be delayed for a month due to 1 item. Another email came through saying that it will be further delayed due to another item. I emailed and opened the order with an attempt to cancel whatever item that causes the delay, to no avail. Ordered on 5 Sept 21 and am expected to accept to receive my order on 8 Oct 21. They shouldn't sell stuff which are out of stock, or at least advice before payment of the delay to be anticipated. I'm so disappointed as I was buying a birthday gift for someone, and now they will receive it almost a month later.
