Unhappy Takealot customer

On December 25, 2024, I ordered an X-360 Slim AC Adapter. Although the product was delivered, it was not what I ordered. I contacted Takealot through a phone call to report the issue, and while they credited me for the item, they did not refund the delivery fee.

Following this, I called Takealot again, and a representative assured me that she could process a new order and handle the delivery issue. This new order was placed on January 8, 2025, but once again, the wrong product was delivered. I reached out to Takealot about this mistake, and they informed me that I would receive further credit. However, I was only credited R180 and not the full amount I originally paid for the product, implying that I was charged for delivery again.

After another call to Takealot to express my dissatisfaction, I was credited an additional R80, bringing the total to R260, which covers the cost of the product, but I still have not received a refund for the R75 delivery fee.

I've called Takealot numerous times, using my own airtime to rectify their errors, and while I’m not asking for reimbur*****t for my call costs, I simply want what I am owed. I continue to receive emails from various Takealot consultants saying that I have been credited, yet my delivery fee remains unresolved. I have been told that the delivery fee was "not part of my order."

If the Takealot consultants had properly reviewed my order history from both the first and second orders, they would have noted that the delivery was paid for and has not been refunded. It has now been almost a month of back-and-forth communication regarding this issue.

This situation is incredibly frustrating and inconvenient, as I am continually the one reaching out to Takealot due to their failure to address my concerns through email.

I formally request that Takealot refund my delivery fee, especially since they do not plan to compensate me for my phone call airtime.
