UNHAPPY MARRIAGE : [URL Removed] & [URL Removed]

1. I bought a DVD from [URL Removed] as I have done literally hundreds of times before. <br> 2. The DVD was supp**** in the American NTSC region 1 format, which is incorrect for South Africa. <br> 3. This I discovered when I put it into the DVD player and it could not be read.<br> 4. Takealot will not accept a return for two reasons: a) it is outside of 7 days, and b) the DVD has been opened.<br> 5. The time issue (a) came about because the DVD was left at another venue in error.<br> 6. The DVD was returned to me in its box last week.<br> 7. Takealot refuses to accept this explanation, referring to its terms and conditions. This is half reasonable as it was my oversight, BUT shows a complete lack of flexibility on the part of Takealot.<br> 8. The opening of the DVD issue (b) is perfectly normal on my part, as how else would I know if the DVD is in the correct format (or not), without putting it into the DVD player? <br> 9. I do not read the backs of DVD covers before opening to make sure it is in the correct format.<br> 10.This is South Africa, why would they even stock an American formatted DVD?<br> 11. I have never before received an NTSC DVD from Kalahari, this is a first - and definitely a last.
