Unforgivable treatment of an expensive and fragile product

I ordered an external hard drive - which we all know should be treated with great care - together with 4 car mats.

The order arrived in a HUGE box, all 5 items banging around in the box independently. The 4 car mats unpackaged and lying loose (with no plastic wrapping at all), and the tiny, external hard drive thudding up and down as the driver took out the box and passed it through the gate.

The unpackaged car mats we can somehow live with. They're car mats. The fragile hard drive however, costing 10 times more and arriving in this state, is unforgivable! I cannot rely on a hard drive that has been subjected to such abuse.

Of course one is unable to call them, they just cut you off with an engaged signal.

If no one from Takealot contacts me to discuss this matter, I will be taking this further.
