********* and ********** business practice

I have recently went through an elaborate process of trying to have takealot exchange a damaged item I bought from them. They constantly gave me the excuse that the supplier was/is out of stock which was not the case. The supplier was selling the same product on the takealot site throughout my ordeal and only took the product off of the takealot website once I started to complain.

I was contacted by Keagan Gaffley, from takealot, whom apologised and again stated that the supplier was out of stock. He the provided the name of the supplier (Power Tool Pro). I then went on the suppliers website and they were still selling the same product and clearly indicating that they have stock. Take note, this is more than two weeks after I have been told by multiple takealot employees that the supplier has no stock. Takealot clearly will assist their supplierrs in avoiding to have to exchange a damaged item and will go through no effort to protect their clients from this type of behaviour.
