Unacceptable level of customer service

On the 29th of May I purchased and collected my Beats by Dre studio 2 wireless headphones around 11:30 AM from Takealot's Cape Town warehouse. Around 12:00 PM, I discovered that the said headphones do not pair via Bluetooth and only work via a wired connection. I called the returns department whereby the consultant could not assist me in a preferred manner thus I escalated the issue to a manager (I do not know his name, only that he was on duty from around 3 PM to 5 PM on the 29th). The manager promised me to resolve my issue and call me back as soon as possible with a solution, however I did not receive a return call. On Sunday (31/05/2015) I placed a follow up call and discovered that not only was my issues left unattended but also that no ticket was open for the matter. After this ordeal, I find that now, after paying around R4000 for a pair headphones, I have to wait over a week for a fully functional set to be delivered to me. I strongly believe that if an item is collected and is defective within the hour, managers need to do what they get paid for and assist customers via any means necessary. If the issues was resolved as promised I would not be writing paragraph right now.

Hello Dharishdbh,

We apologise for the bad experience & that we weren't able to assist you as you expected. We'll get our complaints team to look into the situation so that we can get clarity on what exactly happened & why a ticket wasn't logged to get the replacement requested & resolved.

Our complaints team is back tomorrow morning & we'll instruct them to get onto this as a matter of priority. We'll do our best to get this sorted out as quickly as possible.

Sincerely,
