UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
I have purchased a purchased a Tablet at Takealot the product was delivered on the 28 Sep 2024 and returned on the 1st of October 2024 sealed as it came because i needed to have bought a different model for a school program . I have been told the product is damaged but i didnt even open the box or tamper with the box in any way. Now im expected to keep a R5000 product damaged as it is. I dont even have resources to seal the box i didnt even open the box.Takealot.com Return Request| (MRRN-9Z98M-YYE5 (***)

- Right to Receive Goods that Are of Good Quality and Fit for Purpose:
- Section 55 of the CPA states that consumers have the right to receive goods that are in good condition, free from defects, and fit for the purpose they are intended.
- Right to Return Defective Goods:
- If you received a defective product, you have the right to return it within 6 months of purchase for repair, replacement, or a refund, provided that you did not cause the damage yourself.
- Right to Fair and Honest Dealing:
- The CPA also ensures that consumers are not misled or subjected to unfair treatment. If Takealot is claiming that you caused the damage without proper investigation, this could be considered unfair treatment.
