Totally incorrect order received

Absolutely dissatisfied and disappointed with my latest interaction with takealot. Im a regular customer that orders online and collects.

This time I decided to get the items delivered to me. The item was a birthday gift for my mum. When the delivery came I could see just from the box that the order was incorrect. The box was huge and i knew something was off.

I immediately contacted the call centre and logged my return online.

I specifically asked that the item be corrected and delivered as it was a gift I needed to have on the 15th December. All they did was refund the money, say the items are out of stock and credit my account.

They had the audacity to say it's out of their control but didnt realize what a big mess up they had made.

I received a completely incorrect order. Le creuset frying pans and mugs which I priced at over r7000 .

I had the decency to return the incorrect items, which could easily have been kept by myself and not be picked up by takealot.

Yet they didnt have the decency to do right by me and ensure I received my gift in time.

Clearly they have no consideration for the customer and trying to correct their mistakes.

Sadly they have lost a customer due to this lack of service and consideration
