This company cannot be re**** on

On the 26Nov I placed an order for x2 Jameson select reserve + 2 glasses gift sets. On the 29th (WEDNESDAY) the parcel was delivered. When I opened my parcels on Thursday I came across both bottom glasses in the gift boxes were broken in the exact same place. The bottles were not clipped in correctly I assume resulting in the glasses breaking. I called take a lot on Thursday morning 30 Nov and the consultant advised me to log a return request and that it would be collected the following week. On Tues 5 dec I called again to follow up as no one had still collected and these gifts are for Christmas. The lady I spoke to then ( Elzita ) said the parcel would now be collected on Thursday 7 dec. I had a fight with her as time was being wasted and I was told the items would first have to go to CT to be inspected and THEN only will a new order be placed for exchange. I was informed that the courier arrived at my business housing complex on Thursday 7Dec and turned around as security denied him access, but I never received a call from him, which I indicated to Elzita via email as well. I was responded to my email by Jarryd David’s Who said no problem the courier would then be rescheduled for Monday 11Dec. On Tuesday 12 Dec I made the third follow up call to take a lot and spoke to a lady ( Lucy ) Who promised the courier would come Thursday ( today, 14 Dec ) to collect the items. I then argued that these are gifts meant for Christmas and arrived here damaged and now I have to wait again for the replacement items, to which she said the courier would be bringing the replacement items with on collection of the broken ones. Yet again no one arrived today to pick up the item. I am highly disappointed as I am a loyal customer to takealot, and these goods arrived damaged. I explained from the beginning to Elzita I had to cancel my holiday plans as I now have to wait for couriers who are messing me around along with take a lot and look my family in the eyes empty handed on Christmas Day. I am disgusted and won’t support this company again as they CANNOT keep their word.
