They certainly do TAKE your money!

I am have aGobii eReader which I purchased from Kalahari. I have never experienced any issues with downloads before. I decided to purchase a new ebook from Takealot (my first since the merger). I had to then upgrade to the Takealot eReader. Easier said than done!

I purchased an eBook and loaded it into the Adobe Digital Edition, however, my Gobii was not detected by the Takealot eReader. I had attempted to download the book 6 or more times to no avail. I then tried another usb cable and the reader was then detected. However, I kept receiving an error message on the Takealot eReader preventing the download. I then informed Takealot via email and was advised that they are unable to assist me as the book had no id registered to it. They also are unable to refund me.

I then have the following blurb included: One of our aims is to be the most customer centric customer support in Africa. Please accept our sincerest apologies if any inconvenience caused as it is not our intention to disappoint our customers. REALLY???

Well all you've done to me is TAKE my money end of story. Amazon is a customer centric company unlike Takealot. I have since found another source for ebooks.
