The name says it all, they TAKE A LOT!

The name says it all, they 'take a lot'! My wife and I are frequently making use of the Takealot 'services'. Had our first disappointment and it is same time our last as no more online shopping for me. The concept online shopping simply does not work for a country like South Africa as the basics of customer service are not understood. Bought a printer toner pack (4 toners) to keep stock in the office. Turns out one of the toners is the wrong one and thus rejected by the printer. Some brightly clearly cannot read and packed in the wrong one. The 30 days elapsed, so Takealot does not replace nor refund. The toner box has no serial number on it, so kind of difficult to check. So you say, you open the seal (there goes the warranty) of the toner...but wait a minute, when opening the seal and test the toner to be put away until the other one is empty...by the time the toner is replaced the device is likely to be dried out or won't function anymore. A logic which Takealot does not have nor they care that you have just blown an expensive toner which is useless. Basically what they are saying is that it is my fault they packed in the wrong toner! No wonder Takalot has online a very bad rating, unfortunately only found out now. As for me, simply don't shop online as when it goes wrong, IT GOES WRONG!
